Public security and public safety

Public security or public safety is the prevention of and protection from events that could endanger the safety and security of the public from significant danger, injury, or property damage. It is often conducted by a state government to ensure the protection of citizens, persons in their territory, organizations, and institutions against threats to their well-being, survival, and prosperity.

The public safety issues that a municipality, county, regional, or federal jurisdiction may handle include crimes (ranging from misdemeanors to felonies), structure fires, conflagrations, medical emergencies, mass-casualty incidents, disasters, terrorism, and other concerns.

Decision making is of overall importance

Public safety organizations are organizations that conduct public safety. They generally consist of emergency services and first responders such as law enforcement, fire services, emergency medical services, security forces, and military forces. They are often operated by a government, though some private public safety organizations exist where possible.

To establish a high-quality national crisis management, decision making is of overall importance. Fynd Reality is working with universities, municipalities, industry, first responders and several other national entities to accelerate decision support experiences. Fynd CORE can be used by rescue coordination centers, training facilities, simulator centers or in daily use by first responders.

Combine offshore incidents with land incidents

Bodø city and surroundings can be used to combine offshore incidents with land incidents and train how to decide the use of resources. Decision makers in operations centres and first responders at incident level can train together or separately in Fynd CORE. A range of different challenges can be setup in the scenariobuilder system and presented for the main training audience (MTA).

MTA can be separated or co-located or any combinations of such. NORDLAB in Bodø is one of the training facilitators using Fynd CORE for decision making processes to serve people in the northern region of Norway with excellent decision-making skills.
